Aprilia Scarabeo 200 i.e.

OMG, check out the new Scarabeo 200ie from Aprilia, simply brilliant in design and in stock now!

New to the Aprilia Line up in 2012 is the revamped Scarabeo 200 i.e.

Starting with the shield which right from the first glance flaunts the new oval grille: a decisive reminiscence of the classic Scarabeo family styling and at the same time refined aesthetics which are aimed at lightening the front and giving it a touch of elegance.

Michelin City Grip tyres are now the manufacturers choice which will be a much welcomed upgrade to further enhance the handling and feel.

There is also a new solution for the front turn indicators which "come down" to the base of the steering – in a more visible position – at the same time leaving space for a new and lighter design of the front handlebar covering, which holds a brand new pair of chromium plated mirrors.

The shape of the front mudguard also changes, remodelled to surround a new groove which, besides enhancing the design, performs the important function of optimising air flow through the radiator.

The soft lines of the front join together with the strong lines of the rear through the oval of the side – an indispensable element of the Scarabeo design – in a play of continuity and contrasts which inspires harmony at first glance.

The entire tail was remodelled and lightened as well as the taillight, and it now hosts a new saddle, doubled into two independent seats: a solution which, combined with the new internal foam, significantly increases the level of comfort for rider and passenger alike.

Comfort which is guaranteed on the Scarabeo by the windshield integrated into the steering – standard equipment – and by the indispensable flat footrest which, combined with the sturdy and lightweight aluminium luggage carrier and the practical helmet compartment, allows the load to be increased to unexpected levels for an agile, high wheel scooter.

The totally complete analogue-digital instrument panel offers an actual on-board computer that can be controlled directly from the handlebar. Standing out amongst the many available options is the outside temperature reading with “ice warning” that alerts the rider to any ice present. The stand was designed to provide a very convenient lever arm: parking the Scarabeo is child's play.
